DESCRIPTION:

In this program, you'll live a wonderful and unforgettable experience from departure all the way to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. During the hike, we´ll pass by several archaeological complexes of great importance given the features of their architectural structures, dating back to the Incan Empire's period. In addition, we´ll feel changes in the climate and will observe the diversity of the exotic flora and fauna. All the Inca´s trails lead to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu which is an exceptional jewel of the Incan architecture. Performing the Inca Trail is an unforgettable experience in contact with nature and Machu Picchu is considered as Cultural Patrimony of Humanity, as well as one of the world´s wonders.

ITINERARY:

CUSCO (ARRIVAL)

Arrival in Cusco, reception and transfer to your hotel. Free day to get acclimated.

DAY 1: CUSCO - WIÑAYWAYNA - AGUAS CALIENTES

In the morning, transfer from your hotel to the train station, to Start our trip towards Km. 104 of the railway, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we´ll have lunch. Then, we´ll visit the archaeological center of Chachabamba. Afterwards, we´ll go on towards the archaeological complex of Wiñaywayna (Wiñay = Forever and Wayna = Young), where we´ll have a guided tour. Later on, we´ll go on with our hike towards Inti Punku (Inti = Sun and Punku = Door, Gate or Sun's Gate), following a path paved with stone slabs and stairs, bordering precipices and in a jungle landscape. On the way, we´ll observe an abundant diversity of flora (orchids, ferns, etc.) and a fauna typical of that region. Arrival in Aguas Calientes, transfer to your hostel. Dinner.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES - CUSCO

In the early hours of the morning, we´ll have breakfast to start walking towards Inti Punku (Sun's Gate). From there, we´ll observe the great City of Machu Picchu to then go on a guided visit of the Historical Sanctuary and later on, go back down to Aguas Calientes. Afterwards, we´ll go to the train station to return to the city of Cusco.Transfer to your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport or bus station and end of our services.
