Choquequirao: the Aymara chuqi, gold, and the Quechua K'iraw, cradle, ie "cradle of gold"), is an Inca city located between the foothills of the Salkantay snow in southern Peru. From your accommodations we will move towards the district of San Pedro de Cachora, where we will meet with support personnel who will accompany us on our adventure. During the walk we will have a special view to the snowcapped peaks of Wayna Padrayoc and Cachora and Apurimac Canyon. Also observe the change of scenery.From Capuliyoc descend to our first camp in Chiquisqa. Overnight.
Descend to playa Rosalina, then climb to Santa Rosa and Maranpata.From this point more fully observe Choquequirao, Huanipaca, snowcapped mountains and the Apurimac Canyon with its beautiful waterfalls. Continue to the archaeological complex of Choquequirao, where we will have our second camp. Overnight.
Guided tour of Choquequirao archeological group with extensive explanations of the guide. From there we will have the opportunity to observe the flight of the condors and sunrise. For the same path, observing the great variety of flora and fauna of this area, we will come back to Chiquisqa. Overnight in camp.
Continuing our walk, we arrive at San Pedro de Cachora again appreciating the snowy landscapes, flora and fauna. In Cachora we will take the bus back to Cusco. Transfer to your accommodation. Overnight.
